Homemade Soups to Warm Up a Cold Winter Night

Hey Reader,

It's freezing. Tomorrow, the high where I live is supposed to be zero. Farenheit. I'm cold, and I hate it, and I've made soup the last three days, and I plan to make more this week.

It's how I cope, and it's keeping me warm.

Homemade soup is surprisingly easy to make, and I definitely recommend these faves as you battle the bitter cold where you are, too.

Chowder is always a win, with it's thick and hearty tummy-filling goodness. Make this Potato Corn Chowder with ingredients you likely have at home - and avoid having to go out in this nasty weather!

If you're from the midwest, you're familiar with Beer Cheese Soup. If you aren't, today just might be the day to make it. You're welcome.

If you want to go a little healthier, try my Carrot Ginger Soup that's lighter but has the tastiest zing and makes it a family fave in my house.

You can't go wrong with Chicken Tortilla Soup. Best of all, this is a slow cooker recipe, so you can toss it in your crock pot in the morning and come back to a delicious dinner everyone will love!

PS If you are also getting hit with snow, make sure you take the time to run outside and get fresh CLEAN snow to make Snow Cream. It's such a fun winter treat!

Happy Cooking,
Michelle
