4 Small Batch Desserts That Taste Anything But Basic

Hey Reader,

A simple dessert can fix a long day faster than anything else. I don't know what it is about something warm from the oven that just makes you feel better. It's not just me, right?

These are perfect because they make just one or two servings, so I don't have to figure out what to do with an entire batch of brownies or cookies. Added bonus? These tend to take just a few minutes rather than the longer time to create a full-size recipe.

Your Next Sweet Fix Starts Right Here

When I want a cookie but don't feel like baking a full batch, I make a Microwave Chocolate Chip Cookie instead. It comes together in minutes and still has that soft, warm center that makes cookies so good.

Mug cakes are another favorite, and I make a bunch of different varieties. Right now, my favorite is this Nutella Mug Cake, and not only because I love anything Nutella. It's so quick and easy and has a fun surprise inside, too.

I make a mean Espresso Brownie Mini Skillet Cookie, too, which is the perfect combo of cookie and brownie and the perfect size for sharing - when I feel generous.

Do you remember when molten chocolate cakes were on restaurant menus everywhere? I still love them, and I adapted my favorite version to make just two individual-sized Lava Cakes, perfect for date night or dessert two nights in a row.

When you want something sweet without a lot of work, small batch desserts always come through. Which one are you making first?

Happy Cooking,
Michelle
